Crystal Tennis Trophies
Why are some of the professional tennis trophies made of glass or crystal?
They look heavy. You drop them, and they are gone!
They look sensational outside in the sun where most tennis trophies are awarded and shown.
Actually, almost any big trophy will break or dent badly if dropped. You are not supposed to drop them. The big hollow ones are fairly thin metal and the slimmer statue types are cast and will break rather than bending.
