Was there really a brawl at the Australian Open tennis tournament?
Were they throwing strawberries and cream?
It happened during the women’s first round match between Jankovic and Wosniak. Jankovic commented that this sort of ethnic fights probably happened most in Melbourne compared to anywhere else in the world. If this is indeed a fact, then thumbs down to the tournament organizers for not preventing the incident from occurring, because innocent spectators, officials, bystanders and players could’ve been injured. I hope they haven’t forgotten the 1993 Monica Seles stabbing incident in Hamburg, Germany.
