Why isn’t Dancing considered a sport?
Okay me and this dude in my english class were aurguing about this topic. I feel that I had a very good explination. I said that dancers compete just like swimming and tennis and all other sports. I also said you get as much physical activity as the other sports too. (Well at least at my dance studio we get our butts kicked)
Do I have a reasonable aurgument here?
The definition of SPORTS is-
Physical activity that is governed by a set of rules or customs and often engaged in competitively.
A particular form of this activity.
And at Dance compititions you have rules and are doing Physical activity.

I was on a dance team in high school and I always thought the same thing also. But, of course, the boys never agreed. I guess because they don’t think it’s manly enough or something…LOL! But, yes I agree with you that it’s a sport!
Oh…yeah…yes you can pull a hamstring if you don’t stretch probably before….so I guess it is a sport…LOL!
