taking a tennis ball as the scale. How much bigger would the sun be?
In other words a tennis ball is approximately 4 inches (old money) across its diameter, so what would the diameter be if it was the sun…..using the tennis ball as the scale.
If the diameter of the Earth was 4 inches, the diameter of the Sun would be approximately 36 feet and 4 inches.
The diameter of the Sun is 109 times the diameter of the Earth.
