Tennis Fitness Tests
I am a 13 year old boy, and I want to get into the Air Force Academy, when I'm 18?

I'm 13 and as you already know I want at the USAF Academy received. At my school we do physical fitness test and I have been met for the last 2 years or exceeds the standards for men performed at the USAFA. Although we do not do push-ups I've reached tested with a couple of friends and i 42nd In my testimony to the end of the year I got all A and B were the two B's in English, which was a B + and the other is a regular in B and it was only computer I have because I was on an older computer (a toaster as people at my school they call it) that computer does not have all nessisary programs I needed to get an A on the test. I'm into sports like football, Freestyle skiing (ski-trick), golf and tennis. I've never been in serious trouble (eg, drugs, alcohol, vandalism and so on and so been away. This summer I plan to voluntary work are included. I would like to know if I'm likely to get one or if I get a chance to get into the academy.

I do not think "it is too early. "When you have a long-term goal, it's never too early to try to achieve this goal. You have a better chance, because you already have these questions too early. They have more than enough time to establish a good track record. But you have to stay focused. You can immediately begin this summer on working conditions to your destination. If you get a chance to volunteer for someone running for election in the office, you do so. Find out if your congressman or senator for re- Candidate in this fall. If it is, you can volunteer to help. Or you can for someone who is asking him voluntarily. Right now, if your senator or congressman is a Republican, they can on the way out, taking into account the questions about the economy and war. Work in this case for the Democrats candidate may make sense, because he can win a very good chance and begin to four years from now, if you really light up an appointment, he will remember you as a volunteer for him. However, it is best to have a political side and stick with it to pick. Loyalty is a very important feature in the service. Flip flop from one party to a others will shoot at you. High school is what it really is. Take a deep breath and read on. Take advanced courses. You need to work harder, but it helps Show you are ready to tackle the hard work. Never afraid to ask, teachers for extra help. Would you rather see, to help students, as flounder and not to ask. Take extra math and science courses than you are obliged to take. The USAF is a highly technical service and if you added in the USAFA Mathematics and science is getting really help. Take two credit courses at your local college JR. Even if you only take one college course each semester for Your last three years of high school, you will graduate with far more than the required credits and have college credits on your record. If you participate in a language course be, do not take French, Italian, or any of the other standard courses, our schools seem to be stuck. Spanish, while it will help you to communicate with a large percentage of the troops is not what the services really need. What they need to speak fluent Chinese and Arabic translators. If you have either two or three years and speak it well, it is definitely something that they know when it's time to get his candidate for the USAFA is. (Many universities You need two years to learn a foreign language to get a bachelor's degree. If you do the language at your local JR College, there is one, and you will not to that, no matter where you're going to care.) Get at least a 3.8 average on your core business (required) courses. While it's nice to be large classes in all get, it's the core subjects that are really important. An "A" in math is more than a value of "A" in art. If your school has a JR ROTC unit to connect and work hard to be a leader. A recommendation is the ROTC commander really helps. Try to get one on the drill team. Honor Guard Team gets a lot of attention, but it takes up time. Be involved in school politics, athletics and fundraising activities. You want to show that you are not just a book worm. Out of trouble! I do not know how many times I've seen, because they have some in jest, that led to criminal get caught rejected several outstanding candidates, a DUI, a drug raid, in a car accident. This includes avoiding the crowd, which is known to be troublemakers. Who are taking ROTC in general, less likely, that troublemakers are so good that one would hang with a gang. Along with this, you will not get a tattoo or piercing. Finally, ignore those make it "easy" to get in. Right now, say the number of applicants is low in order to ask the academies, so chances are pretty good. But how can you 4-5 years from now, will still know it? The wars in Iraq and Afghanistan is over, and the number of applicants may be much higher, a reduction in quotas. Remember that sometimes works that you do not get an appointment at the Academy offered desired, but offered to get an appointment at one of the other academies. (Army, Navy, Coast Guard, Merchant Marine). If you do not see himself as a failure as an offer of an appointment is an honor and recognition of your hard work. Good luck.
