Tennis Of Spokane
Baggage Fees?
Hi. I am going to be flying to London on the 11th of August and returning on the 25th of August. I’m from Seattle to Chicago on American Airlines. Then i’ll be transfering to British Airways to London Heathrow. Then on the 25th i’ll be flying from London Heathrow to Seattle. Then fly from Seattle to Spokane on Alaska. My question is. Do i have to pay the baggage fees for checked baggage?
Thankyou. Oh yes can i bring 2 tennis raquets on board and have them not count as one of my carryone pieces?
Ok, first thing first. Since you are switching airlines, you will have to pay excess baggage fees, how much depends on when you booked your ticket. Check with your airline. Generally speaking, on international flights, you don’t have to pay excess baggage fees, and I’m almost certain that on BA you won’t have to. Same thing applies on flight back: Heathrow to Seattle will probably be free baggage, and since you change airlines, you pay on Alaska Airlines. If you flew one-way on the same airline, they would consider the first flight a connecting flight, and you wouldn’t have to pay anything for baggage. And, no, you can’t bring the tennis rackets on without it counting towards you carry-on allowance. In fact, they might even make you check in your tennis rackets.
