With so many fantastic Filipino players in Pool, you should have no trouble searching Google for Pool Halls and also for the governing body in the Philippines One you find some phone numbers, start calling until you find someone with answers to your questions.
If you are REALLY good, go to the biggest and most popular pool hall that you can find, tell the owner you are looking for a sponsor and demonstrate your ability to him. Most likely he will know the movers and shakers who are always looking for the next great talent in pool. A good friend of mine, C.J. Wiley, who was once ranked #4 in the World and won the ESPN Ultimate 9 Ball Challenge (and 50,000 dollars) in 1995 or 96, was so good that he had sponsors and was a full time road player when he was 13 years old.
To make a lot of money in the game of pool, you will have to win most of your money in side games. High dollar tournament prizes are few and far between. The Professional Women pool players actually play for more money than the men, and have more TV Sponsors and more ESPN tournaments than the men.
But the back room action at the mens tournaments, if you have a sponsor, is where you have a chance to play for the big bucks. 9 Ball races to 11 for 10,000 dollars are not uncommon. Your skill level, and your sponsors bankroll will determine how much you can make playing pro pool,.
