Tennis Bubble

do I need new shoes?
I have a pair of Nike’s. About an 80.00 pair. I think they are about 2 years old. Well this weekend i took my son camping and we did alot of walking. Alot. Now i have a bubble blister on the side of my big toe on my left foot. How do tennis shoes give you a blister? I remember being a k id and going skating and getting them. But nike’s??? and just walking? GEEz!
do i need new shoes? and how do i get this blister to go away?
I have a dressy job and i wear strappy shoes and you can see it. Yuck!
I think you got a blister because of how much walking you did, not because of your sneakers. I have gotten blisters with shoes that were always very comfortable before, just because I walked so much. In fact, just last week I got a huge blister on the back of my heel while wearing one of my very comfiest pairs of flats, just because I was in Vegas and had done a lot of walking on the Strip.
As for getting the blister to go away, you need to pop it, which will be both gross and painful, but you need to drain that fluid out so it can flatten out and start to heal. If you don’t pop it, it will pop itself, which will HURT! Here’s what you do: get a needle (sterilized, preferably, but at least wash it with soap and water first.) Prick the blister with the needle, and that clear goo should start trickling out. Then just put a Band-Aid or a gauze square over it to absorb the goo. It should be all healed up in a couple of days or so. In the meantime, try to avoid wearing uncomfortable shoes that are going to rub it and irritate it. If you have to wear dressy shoes for work, make sure you pad the blister area with gauze or a Band-Aid to prevent rubbing. Good luck!
