While the gay Gasquet continues to dodge rumors, where he goes, he has denied that he is gay every time the question is asked. First released in April 2007 when the French magazine Le Point reported on a rumor that the 21-year-old Gasquet was having an affair with 46-year-old married businessman Arnaud Lagardere. Two months later after the match against Andy Roddick in an epic quarter-final at Wimbledon in his press conference after the game, a reporter had the nerve to ask Gasquet, whether he is gay. Gasquet played the affair and denied that he is gay, something he has done ever since. I personally hope that we can give this guy a break on this whole Gay theme. If he is gay, then that's his business, and nobody has the right to come to implement this kind of pressure on the man out of the closet, which seems to happen a lot in the last few months. One can see that Gasquet is affected by all this speculation about his sexuality, given his poor results this year. He's a great player who has the potential to do great things in the game, and therefore we should be more on what he does on the field, but as what he does off the court.
