How do I steal Somebody’s Job?
The local tennis team has a horrible coach who has basically caused half the team to quit due to his complete lack of coaching skills and passion. He has actually even told the entire team that “they suck”. I am a former tennis player on this team and a former assistant coach to this team and I am fearful that if this continues, the program will no longer exist. I really want this job but the athletic director seems to think that this guy (who is in his second year of coaching) is a “good guy”. I submitted my resume and have been helping out at practices. The coach offered me the assistant coach position, which i accepted, but apparently told the team “she thinks she’s the best but she’s not and she needs to butt out” so I don’t know what to think anymore. Any suggestions on how to get this job?
Well you have to be careful when you are trying to get someones job that you currently work for/with. If there are a lot of kids who quit or dislike the coach i would try to get them to help you out by talking to the athletic director and discussing why they should replace the coach. How this will help the program and the tennis players.
