Is it legal to download programs to the old sport?
as the NBA Finals from the 90's, old tennis matches or the World Cup?
This is a gray area in practice, but on paper this is illegal. Copyright in general remain for 70 years, everything after 1940 is not likely legal. Of course, if you go straight to the source (such as a sports broadcaster, NBA, etc.) then it is fine, as long as they are with downloads.
