Badminton and it's English History
Imbued in the English culture is a love of sport and creators of all kinds. I have a website where I listed and are connected to the 100 + different sports and games created by us Brits. One of the most popular games in England's badminton, which is played by more than 1 million people every Week. Badminton was originally an English game called "The battledore and badminton game", an English game, about which there are many references back as far as in 1400
By 1860, Isaac Spratt, a London toy dealer published a booklet, badminton battledore - a new game, but unfortunately no copy has survived.
The beginnings of modern badminton may last until mid-18th Century British India, from where British Officers stationed there, was created to be traced. Early pictures show a net addition of Englishmen to battledore the traditional English game and badminton. As particularly popular in the British garrison Poona (now Pune), the game came to be known as Poona. First, balls of wool were preferred by the upper classes with wind and rain, but ultimately put the shuttlecock. This game was brought by retired officers to England, where she developed and rules were laid down.
The new sport was definitively in 1873 at Badminton House, Gloucester, England, founded and owned by the Duke of Beufort (The same house and property are each year for the Badminton Horse Show). During this time the game was called "The Game of Badminton," and the game's official name was badminton.
The game uses shuttlecocks, which are made from nylon and feathers are used instead of balls. Shuttles are available in English games since 8 Century uses.
To 1887 was the sport in England according to the rules that prevailed played in British India. The Bath Badminton Club standardized rules and made the game for English ideas. The basic Regulations were drawn in 1887. In 1893, the Badminton Association of England published the first set of rules, according to these regulations, similar to today's Badminton rules and officially in a house called "Dunbar" at 6 Waverley Grove, Southsea, Portsmouth, England on 13 September this year. She also started the All England Open Badminton Championships, the first badminton competition in the world instead, in 1899.
The International Badminton Federation (IBF) (now known as Badminton World Federation known) was in 1934 with the following countries:
-
Canada
-
Denmark
-
England
-
France
-
Holland
-
Ireland
-
New Zealand
-
Scotland
-
Wales
India became a partner in 1936. The BWF now governs international badminton and develops the sport worldwide.
I would play during the last 1500 years of my family for many sports, developed and created in England and can with my family's interest have played in most sports in the UK and led to the world. My older brother Mark is a good example for our achievements. When my brother was 11 years of age and from, he represented his school at cricket, football, tennis, badminton, athletics, and when he was 15 years old he had a football trial with Portsmouth Football Club and 16 Years of age for Hampshire cricket played in juniors.
There have always amazes me how an island like Britain, we created the world and has over 100 sports and games that have dominated world. My family tree is to the early kings of England from the 7th due. Century AD. This gave me an interest in the English History and Sport England created.

The Chinese call Britain 'The hero of Iceland ", which I think sums up what we Brits are all about. We British are curious and are competitive and always looking over the horizon to the next adventure and discovery.
