Tennis Knee Support

My Knee is still stiff and sore (sharp pain when bending/straightening) 3 weeks after injury?
I took a very hard impact to inside of shin 3 weeks ago during soccer game. Had x-rays next day for fractures – there were none. The knee and leg were very swollen. I was given a leg compression support in ER. I stopped wearing that about 1 week ago. I have tried some exercise over past few days incl. short run, cycling and messed around with some tennis today (nothing serious). Anyway the knee is now sore again especially to flex/extend. It just doesnt feel right! Should I go to doctor and maybe get an MRI referral. Im worried about cartilage or ligament damage now.
If it continues then you will want to have further testing of the meniscus and the ligaments. Many knee supports are also made for sports. I would recommend something with medial and lateral supports to take the stress off of the knee. Use ice, compression and elevation for pain and swelling.
