Tennis Player Rankings

can i be a pro tennis player?
I’ve been playing for 3 years but it has been on and off. For the second year I’ve been playing about 1 hr a WEEK but now I’m starting to play 3 hours a day. My rankings pretty terrible (about 350) but I’m starting to play more tournaments. I’m 13 and started when I was 11, but all the pros on tv started when they were like 6 or 7. Is it too late for me to turn pro?
Well you gotta decide what type of pro you want to be, local, regional, or do you want to go for world ranking/ touring pro. Not all pros started when they were 6 or 7 some alot later. But regardless you have to start getting into a strict regimen, of training, practicing, conditioning and gear/equipment analysis, for this will aid your progress. Sign-up for leagues and or compete as much as you possibly can and do your regimen in between. Touring and non- touring pros do nothing but refine, develop and work on every single aspect of the game, and that’s alot, it really takes them the whole off season break to rest recuperate and then train. in order to compete for 6- 8 months. If they slack off even for just one week it will greatly affect their season terribly, hence Roger federer who did not pick-up a racket for 20 days, due to mono, and that affected him this season.
You have to start living and breathing tennis for the years to come. You;ll be unbelievably good, and the rewards are great, just alot of sacrifices and patience are required in order to be maybe not number 1 but you’ll be up there and pretty darn good and will gain alot or respect from peers and seasoned players alike
Hope this helps
