Tennis Serves Ending Position?
My coach told me in tennis that there are two types of second serves: American Twist and Kick Serve
Apparently the American Twist is used on the ad side for right-handers and your racket ends up finishing off your right side. The Kick Serve is used on the deuce side and the racket ends up on the left side of your body just like a flat or slice serve. I’m not sure if this is true, could you guys confirm. If not, could you tell me the real positions?
Ya, your coach is probably a very stubborn person… While it is good to have these serves in your arsenal, its better to mix it up, especially on 2nd serves. I hit kick, spin, flat, and slice on my second serves. The more variety the better.
