Andy Murray is now the worlds no2, but why isnt he getting the publicity he deserves?
Now, im not a big tennis fan but upon watching Sportsday on BBC news24 last night i heard in bulletin lasting around 15-20 seconds that the UK number 1, Andy Murray has overtaken Naddal in the world rankings and is now the WORLD number 2.
Making history for the UK at such a young age, you have to ask, is it fair to mark this achievement with a newbulletinin lasting such time!
After such a small report, i naturally wanted to know more but to my disgust found it very difficult to find any reports reporting on this achievement. Instead, I soon realised that a Mickey mouse cricket game and the WIGAN!!! football game seemed to be more important to report on.
To me it seems like the Scots’ achievementsts are shelved as usual, i have to ask myself, if this was Tim -won nothing- Henman, what publicity he would receive, seems very racist to me indeed!!!
Your thoughts?
I’m not knocking his achievement but, let’s face it, he has only overtaken Nadal because Nadal is injured and is not yet up to his usual form (if he’s playing at all, I’m a bit behind on tennis news at the moment!)
