Is it too late to become a pro tennis player?
Hi
I know i have asked this question alot of times but i just want to get as many answers as i can.
I first started to play tennis when i was 12 and instantly fell in love with it. I have played it almost everyday since, whenever i can, even at 8 oclock in the evening when it was almost dark (so i have a passion for it)
I am now 13 and have a private coach and yesterday i played my first local competition and came 2nd. i watch as many coaching videos as possible and also play in my school. i enter myself into as many competitons as possible and courses in my area. I play so much and train so much. Today I even booked a court for over an hour by myself and just practiced my serves and other shots. I play whenever i can at school and after school.
would it be possible for me to ever turn pro, not necessarily top 10 ranking but maybe top 250 ranking.
thanks (i used to play when i was younger but not seriously)
It doesn’t matter about how early, you start playing tennis. The only thing that matters is the amount of passion and dedication you put into you’re work.
I’m only 14 and I joined the tennis team at my high school, when I was younger I only played tennis for the fun of it. But when I joined the tennis club, it started getting serious, that’s when you know you want it. I advice you to do what you’re doing and continue it. There is still time for you to become a pro, just because you started at a late age doesn’t mean you can’t follow you’re dream.
