Tennis Umpire Chairs
Is this a good plot for a story we need to do for english at year 7 level?
Here is the plot:
Andrew and his little brother Gordon, go out to play tennis. Gordon falls off the umpire chair when umpiring and starts to cry. He thinks that he needs to go to hospital and begs and exaggerates that he might have an infection, etc.
They eventually take Gordon to the hosptial and there is nothing wrong with Gordon. So at the end, they ground Gordon for a month.
Please tell me some advice on how to improve it, rate the plot and try to give me maybe an extra plot just incase this one doesnt’ work?

That is a very good plot to have. I can see you’re following the basic story structure of “Beginning, middle, end”. You’re also trying to build up tension in making his friend think he’s got an infection.
A tip that i would give is not have it so you’re creating “dramatic irony”. This is were the audience is knowing what is happening and the characters in role don’t. What you’d want to do is have it so they do think Gordon has an infection / broken his knee. This way you’re creating a lot of tension for the readers. That’s the only part i would change. Then at the end once he’s in hospital the doctors find out nothing is wrong with him, then the tension comes to a complete halt; that’s when you’d end the story.
