What are good tennis shoes for cushion and support?

My dad and I are going to be playing a lot of USTA mixed doubles this summer. He has had a lot fo trouble in the past couple years with bone spurs. What would be a good court shoe that provides a lot of cushioning and support for him? Links to shoes are also appreciated. Thanks for your help!

Tennis Warehouse has been having a pretty big sale on last years shoes recently, thats a good place to start. There are a lot of high quality shoes for pretty good prices.

For starters, Nike Breathe Free IIs are on sale, with just about every size in. They’ve been around for quite awhile, but a lot of people still wear them, and they had a huge pro following for awhile (still do, to an extent). I’ve heard good things about the cushioning, and it looks like the support is top notch. Here’s the link:

Another good looking shoe is the Lotto Syn Raptor 2. Most sizes are in stock, and they’re the same price as the Breathe Frees. They look pretty impressive, and the comfort scores are high. The support is somewhat lower, but that seemed to be a matter of opinion. And though this too is opinion, I think they look really cool. Here they are:

Really, the sale section of Tennis Warehouse is a good place to start. Hope that helps!
