How should my brother improve so that he college have a higher chance to participate in a leave with ivy?
He really wants to go UVA, and will guarantee a spot in UVA. He wants to have a higher chance to participate at Georgetown University, Harvard, Princeton, Duke, Berkeley Cali, Columbia and UPenn. How should it be improved? So far, he has an unweighted GPA of 3.5 His teachers all love him. It's really obvious, even to me, his brother, whom I have met only twice. He has a ton of extracurricular activities, he is on varsity cross country for 2 years varsity tennis for 2 years, varsity squash for 1, he Varsity Team Mathematics, Robotics team that won worlds is once got, second twice, science club that won the national rocket competition .. He takes the toughest courses he was given a score of 2190 on SAT
It sounds like your brother is in his third year or later, he should focus on how he presents himself in his application. The schools are for They cite a student who has a vision looking for their future. If your brother thinks he is an engineer, then he should get recommendations from science and mathematics teachers (Not his sports coach), to emphasize his success in team projects, and learn how to write an essay about what he hopes to do and as an engineering student. If your brother has more time he could take courses at a local community college, or university, demonstrate their competence in STEM disciplines or at world-renowned programs like the Research Science Institute, the Putnam Competition, the Intel International Science and Engineering Fair, etc. It sounds like he is doing is great, but these things would help him to be discovered.
