Western Tennis Cincinnati
I’m going to my first tennis tourney in Cincinnati!!! Please Help! What should i do?

I am going to Cincinnati for the Western and Southern Financial group Men’s and Womens Open for tennis in August and i was wondering if anybody had any helpful info to give me on:

the best way of getting tickets
best seats to get
if it’s better to scalp rather than get tickets online
or any other helpful hints. It’s my first tennis tourney.
Thanks!!!!

I’ve been going there for the past 3 years and the best way to get tickets is to get them online as early as possible (especially if you want to see the Semi Finals and Finals in person). It’s nearly impossible to get box seats unless you have the right connections, but in my opinion the best seats is right behind the box seats up one level. That way you don’t have to move your neck as much and there is no one sitting in front of you.

But here is the best hint that you can use: During the beginning of the week; no one goes to there assigned seats. You can pretty much sit anywhere you want to (except for the box seats because they will put a special colored tag around your wrist and if they catch you in the box seat they will ask you to move).

It’s great that you will be able to go there because it’s so much fun! You can also buy a schedule and you will be able to see who is playing on what court and also to be able to know which player will be on which practice court. Whenever I would like to get a player’s autograph, I will go around the time the player leaves the practice court and I always get it in the end :) They also have a place where you can measure the speed of your serve. It’s like being in a batting cage and you just serve has hard as you can. Also; they have good food there so you don’t have to worry about starving to death. They also have some really cool racket and clothes, but I wouldn’t buy anything because they also jack up the prices. In that very same tent they will be having players sit at a desk and they will sign and take pictures with you.

But most of all: wear something light and take a baseball cap or (and) glasses. It’s extremely hot and at the end of the day you will either have a nice tan or a sunburn.

Have a great time there!! :D I know I sure will! lol

P.S.
If you like lemonade, they make the best crushed ice lemonade there ;)
